It's Raining Easter Eggs!

It's true! Saturday April 10th found the boys and Scott in the middle of an Easter Egg hunt at our park in the rain--AND the sprinklers in the park came on. If you're wondering, jelly beans do not do well getting wet and plastic easter eggs are not water tight. Individual packages of Skittles, M&M's or Starbursts are water-proof enough. So if you're going to have an Easter Egg Hunt in the rain or snow make sure you water-proof your candy and/or eggs! Of course that had a blast getting wet. Bryson tells a great story of one egg that was sitting on the sprinkler head and he caught the egg after it blasted into the air when the sprinklers went on. It is a story bigger than life as only Bryson can tell it!

Scott was asked to speak in our Sacrament meeting so we hustled and were ready to take pictures by 7:45 am. That is a miracle by itself! We were in the church parking lot by 8:10 am. (Of course, we were supposed to be there at 8 am because Scott sings with the choir and they were rehearsing at 8--but still, I'm counting that at total progress!

We should be the cover of the next Children's Place magazine! Wow! Are these boys cute or what?

Mom graciously came to sit with/on the kids with me while Scott was on the stand. Huge kudos to Jennifer and Stephanie for doing that alone every week! I would have been put in a looney bin by now! As it turned out, time ran long--or short depending on how you look at it and Scott did not get to give his talk. But he did share a beautiful testimony of the Atonement. (The Bishop said they would reshedule him for another week soon.)

We dashed out of our block early in time to catch Katelyn singing in a children's group for their Sacrament Meeting. She did a great job and sounded like an angel! All the kids behaved like angels--some with crooked halos but angels nonetheless.

We retreated back to our house where the Easter Bunny came sometime after church was over (That waskilly wabbit!) And the kids enjoyed a few prizes in their baskets.

Smart Mommy tip: If you ever want a 15 month old to follow you somewhere just leave a trail of fishy crackers and you are set! I learned this by watching Brock as he created his own trail of fishys around the couch!

The Family Easter festivities ended at Grandma-ma's house with a delicious Easter dinner and egg hunt--reverent egg hunt that is. The kids had a great time searching and finding and counting the 120 eggs that somehow multiplied to 126. Bunnies and chickies are tricky animals that way!

As you can see everyone was all smiles! Another successful holiday celebrated and now we're just waiting for the sugar coma to kick in!
